Sivaya Subramuniyaswami, on Arthur Pacheco’s Radio Show
There was once a time when I, Arthur Hakalani Pacheco, had a radio show that was weekly. On this show, I could have any guest I chose to share with my listening audience. At the time, I was also studying with a very wonderful Teacher, a Self Realized Being by the name of Sivaya Subramuniyaswami, also known as Gurudeva. He had founded a Hindu temple on the Hawaiian island of Kauai, where I was fortunate enough to visit him from time to time. One day, I asked him for his blessing on my new radio show, and to my great surprise, he said that he’d be happy to be a guest of mine someday. Well, that day finally came on January 27, 2001. This is a copy of that interview. In it, he gives us all a wonderful tool to use when relationships are a bit rocky. He left this earth, a year later, and that is why this interview is one I treasure.
Among the several enlightening messages Gurudeva brings us, he gives us a magic mantra that will heal all interpersonal relationships and bring an end to the conflict with six words that can be said in any language.

Gurudeva blessed us with his presence once more after he had regained the spirit world. Subramuniyaswami, or affectionately called, Gurudeva, tells us that after your physical death you will not suddenly be elevated. You will be exactly as you were when you were in your physical body, spiritually speaking. So, don’t wait for your enlightenment. Start your quest Now on a day to day basis. He says, “Before you die you might want to turn up your living a bit, spiritually. Actively seek, “Who you are”. He describes how we can begin our quest, or if you already are, how to turn it up. Arthur Hakalani also describes what he saw and felt while Gurudeva was speaking through him.
