A Message About Our Relationship with Mother Earth

In this channeled message originally published August 28, 1987, in the Golden Light Newsletter. Arthur Pacheco receives a powerful teaching about humanity’s relationship with the Earth. The message speaks of honoring the land, reconnecting with nature, and remembering the Love, or Aloha, that connects us to the Earth Mother.

“Your Relationship with the Planet Terra”

[The following message was given telepathically to Arthur by a feminine Being in the spirit world. Arthur, fully conscious and aware, relayed the message to those in attendance at this Psychic Development Class.]

Arthur: She’s doing a dance. Something like a hula and pointing around. Somehow, in this vision, I can see the sky filled with a mighty storm brewing. It seems to be going in fast motion. She’s pointing at the skies and says:

“Look at the skies. Can’t you see they are on fire? Can’t you see that things are angry? Can’t you see that nature itself is ready to spit up?”

I get now the impression of a volcano shooting out its lava, which, in a way, looks like it’s vomiting lava. The feeling I’m getting is that she’s saying:

“Mother Earth is very upset due to the fact that her children have ignored her for so long. If there’s one thing a mother does not like, it’s to be ignored. You do not have to spend all your time with her, but do not ignore her.

Mother Nature has been ignored by her sons and daughters who, with their puny contraptions, yet penetrate her surface. They attempt to draw out her wealth and her riches, but give nothing back to her. Not even attention.”

This woman I’m seeing is not angry, but very adamant, forceful, and dramatic about saying all this stuff. She’s pointing to the ocean, saying:

“Right now the oceans are calm. One day they will not be. They will be rising up in great power and lapping at man and his creations. The waves will take back into the ocean that which man has erected. The vibrations go deep into the earth.”

Now she’s putting her fingers down into the earth, and it looks like her fingers are becoming the roots of trees. They go deep into the earth. She’s saying:

“People should all have more of a sense of the Love, or Aloha, of the land than what we do. Most people walk around mindlessly on the land without thinking about the entity known as the Earth. In the old days, the holy ones knew of this and taught the people how to worship the land.”

All of a sudden, I can see all of the Hawaiian islands. Oh, this is interesting. I’m seeing more than the usual number of islands. I wonder. I don’t know the history of this, but I wonder if there were ever more islands in this Hawaiian chain. I get the feeling those other ones have sunk. She’s now saying:

“In those days, heiaus [holy places of communion and worship for the Hawaiians] dotted the islands. They were force fields. It would be a good idea between now and the end of the year that all of us either go make an offering to the land, to the Earth Mother somewhere, or go to one of the local heiaus and do that. By so doing, you will re-establish your connection with the Earth simply by that small act of Love. This does not have to be done constantly, but by occasionally doing this you’ll be letting Mother Earth know that you love her.”

It’s like a person. If you occasionally let them know that you love them, they have no doubt. But if you give no impression of that for the longest time, the person has reason to doubt. And so the Earth Mother has gone beyond the reason to doubt and has already decided that She’s being exploited.

Everything is vibrational. And when She sends out her spewings, her anger at the fact that She’s been neglected, She will send it out not just wholesale—though it will appear as such—but will send it out specifically at those elements that have neglected Her, that have used Her.

“Oh my children, do not let yourselves be in that number.”

Now this female spirit is giving us an option.

She’s saying that by somehow giving obeisance to that which we could call the Earth Mother, or the land, make our own special attunement with it, that She will know that. That energy field, that consciousness that we could call her Consciousness, will be aware of this.

Therefore, in the so-called day of retribution, or whatever, that you’ll find that her energy, which shoots out to fight back, will not be aimed at you. It may go right around you. We’ve all seen cases here on the islands where the lava literally goes around a certain house and then burns up 20 others. Why would it go around a single house? Because it’s being directed.

That seems to be the information she wishes to convey through me. This spirit is a very fiery woman. She says:

“I am not Madame Pele [the spirit of the Hawaiian volcanoes], but Pele exists. Humanity are but citizens of a greater thing—and that thing is the land! Therefore, the whole consciousness of where you live is a thing that one should attempt to love. And by loving it, the doors open to help it grow and prosper. It was for many reasons that the ancient Hawaiians spoke of the love of the land.”

She seems to be a little bit upset. She says:

“My message has fallen on deaf ears.”

I’m trying to assure her that we’re listening. She says:

“Many have listened, but none do this.”

Now she turns and laughs. She says that by acting like she was displeased, she caused several of you to make a determination to do this. Now she’s happier. She leaves now. It seems she goes up in a pillar of smoke. The last thing she said to me was:

“Don’t think you’re not a materializing medium; for it was only by drawing on your power that I could materialize in your thought world.”

I never thought of it quite like that before.
